Licensed Professional Counselor in TX, AZ, OK and FL

EMDR Trained, Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional

Licensed Clinical Supervisor—TX

With over two decades of counseling experience, I have been providing support to individuals during some of life’s most challenging moments. My exprience started during my interships working with children in the juvenile justice system and then working with domestic violence survivors. After graduating with my Master’s degree, I spent 3 years working at a domestic volence shelter, overseeing case management and children’s services while completing my counseling license. I then spent 12 years working in education, providing crisis counseling services. I left education in 2019 and have been offering teletherapy counseling services since then.

In my private practice, I have focused on specializing in chronic illness, caregivers, trauma, college students, educators, and first responders. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation, if you would like to explore if this is a good fit for you! You can request more information by clicking below.

My Approach

.Are you facing challenges or obstacles that make you feel overwhelmed or out of control? Therapy can provide support and help reduce stress. Learning healthy ways to handle these situations is essential for both mental and physical health. I believe everyone has the potential to improve their circumstances, but sometimes a little guidance is needed. My goal is to create a supportive and understanding space for you at every step. By using approaches like Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Family Systems Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and EMDR with a holistic perspective, we can work on improving the underlying root causes. Together, we’ll build an understanding of your systems and identify coping strategies to address them. We will find ways to move forward that feel right for you in a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential environment. Every client is unique, so I tailor treatment plans to meet the specific needs of each individual.

What to Expect?

My communication style is characterized by positivity, attentiveness, and empowerment. I prioritize creating a comfortable environment where clients feel at ease during our conversations. Each session, I aim to provide tools or resources clients can use to see tangible results. In the first session, we will review your intake paperwork, which will help me better understand your concerns by asking questions, and explore what has brought you to therapy. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions about therapy or working with me as a provider. From there, we will collaborate to develop a treatment plan that feels right for you.
